Penelitian eksperimen

Penelitian eksperimen adalah salah satu penelitian kuantitatif dimana peneliti memanipulasi satu atau lebih variable bebas (independent variable), mengontrol variabel lain yang relevan, dan mengamati efek dari manipulasi pada variabel terikat (dependen variable) . Sebuah eksperimen dengan sengaja dan sistematis memperkenalkan perubahan dan kemudian mengamati konsekuensi dari perubahan itu. Tujuan dari penelitian eksperimental adalah untuk menentukan apakahhubungan kausal ada antara dua atau lebih variabe

Jenis –Jenis Eksperimental Design adalah sebagai berikut :

a. Eksperimental Lemah ( Pre Experimental)

b. Eksperimental Semu ( Quasi Experimental)

c. Eksperimental Murni ( True Experimental)

d. Desain Faktorial (Facrorial Design)

Pengertian Jenis –Jenis Eksperimental Design adalah sebagai berikut

Penelitian eksperimen di bidang pendidikan, kita perlu memahami bentuk-bentuk penelitian eksperimen itu sendiri. Dalam Sugiyono (2010) dijelaskan bahwa penelitian eksperimen dapat berbentuk sebagai berikut.

a.   Pre-experimental design yaitu penelitian eksperimen yang belum dilakukan dengan sungguh-sungguh karena masih terdapat variabel luar yang berpengaruh kepada variabel terikat.

b.   Quasi experimental design yaitu penelitian eksperimen yang dikembangkan karena adanya kesulitan dalam mendapatkan kelompok kontrol yang dapat berfungsi sepenuhnya di dalam mengontrol variabel-variabel luar yang dapat mempengaruhi eksperimen.

c.   True experimental design yaitu penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan dengan sungguh-sungguh dengan mengontrol semua variabel luar yang dapat mempengaruhi kegiatan eksperimen.

d.   Factorial experimental design yaitu penelitian eksperimen yang dikembangkan dengan memperhatikan kemungkinan adanya variabel moderator yang mempengaruhi perlakuan terhadap hasil.
