Definisi Penelitian Kuantitatif/Quantitative

Penelitian kuantitatif adalah strategi penelitian yang berfokus pada pengukuran dan analisis data. Jenis penelitian ini dibentuk dari pendekatan deduktif di mana penekanan ditempatkan pada pengujian teori, dibentuk oleh filosofi empiris dan positivis. Dengan kata lain Peneliti an kuantitatif adalah penelitian yang melibatkan data numerical dan analisa statistik (deduktif).

Bentuk Penelitian Kuantitatif/Quantitative

Dalam penelitian kuantitatif, penelitian bisa dibedakan lagi menjadi penelitian non eksperimental dan eksperimental. Penelitian non eksperimental terdiri dari penelitian korelasi, survey, dan ex post facto atau kausal komparatif. Sedangkan penelitian eksperimental terdiri dari penelitian pra eksperimental (pre experimental), eksperimenl semu (quasi experimental), dan eksperimen murni (true experimental).

Ciri-ciri Penelitian Kuantitatif/Quantitative

  1. Cara samplingnya berlandaskan pada asas random untuk eksperimen murni ( true experiment)atau non random untuk eksperimen semu (quasi experiment)
  2. Instrumen sudah dipersiapkan sebelumnya dan di lapangan ting gal digunakan
  3. Jenis data yang diperoleh dengan instrumen-instrumen sebagian besar berupa angka atau yang diangkakan.
  4. Pengumpulan datanya memungkinkan diperoleh data dalam jumlah banyak dan dalam waktu yang relatif singkat.
  5. Teknik analisis yang dominan adalah dengan menggunakan teknik statistik baik statististik deskriptif dan atau statistik inferential
  6. Sifat dasar analisis penelitian deduktif dan sifat penyimpulan mengarah ke generalisasi.
